Grimm Forum

I was over at Grimm Wiki looking at the Grimm family trees. If Nick can trace his ancestry all the way back to the first Grimm, how is it that his family tree is so incomplete? You would think that even if once piece of the puzzle was missing, then a trace would be impossible.

I suspect that "the first grimm" is really just "the earliest grimm we know of." There's really no way for the seven crusader grimm families to know that there weren't earlier grimms in other families in other parts of the world.
