Sometime ago we had a large number of spambots register and spam content on this forum. Therefore I made a few changes to how new accounts were registered, including the manual activation of new accounts.
Since then, I haven't noticed any new spammers register accounts, but has made it harder for legitimate users to sign up for the site. So I am reverting back to automatic approvals for new accounts - still requires a valid email.
I don't expect spam to show up again, but if it does, please do PM me. Thanks!
