Nick was transferred to the North Precinct....the only person that is not in the holding cell is one missing Burkhart in a building full of dead cops ...he has alot explaining to do....why did he leave the scene, Why didn't he call in the attack after he left?
why didn't he call for back up?.......yep alot of explaining to do
right now it would look if Renegade Nick shot his way out of the North precint and with the attack on the Capt/ soon to be Mayor earllier in the day....he is going to need alot of serious help from Renard...because the 1st thing they official will say they need to arrest Nick for killing over 15 cops, not to mention the attack on the mayor to be
Nick has something on Sean. He knows Sean killed Conrad. That information could get Sean killed by BC. Nick has another hold card. Adalind and Diana's control over Sean. For these reasons Sean will exonerate Nick.

There is the outside chance that they make Nick a Grimm on the run. Being hunted by Sean and his men.
They will set this all up as a terrorist group and all the dead at the NPP will be heros. Sean as Capt Renard used Nick and his fight as a way to get Nick inside the NPP and help. Then Mayor Renard will give out medals to all the brave officers who stop the planned attack. Trouble gone. Big GrinBig Grin
Nick could say I was released before the shooting started, I have no idea where the paperwork is. The gun he used was not his, probably most of the shells would be too damaged to tell whose gun (Hank, Wu)they came from. Portland would be in the news, the gang would not even be mentioned since there is no proof they were there.
It's Grimm. They won't refer to it again. You are correct, though, @Kathryn Wooten, Nick was in a cell and therefore a warrant for his arrest as a fugitive ought to be issued.

that would be great except Renard is not mayor until January...

Agree, unless the show wants to use it to cause more angst or have Renard use it as leverage to coerce Nick to back off, it will be like it never happened. This is Grimm. Follow through is rarely considered a necessary component.

In real world yes but is this true in the Grimm world? He win the election so for that to happen had to be Nov (likely) so when Grimm returns it will still be Nov. for what we were told they said I was going to pick up right where it ended. It would take time to investigate which Capt Renard could drag out for what 6 week. Now it's is Jan and he is mayor. With as much damage that was done a 6 or 7 week investigation wouldn't be out of the question.
