Conrad addressed it as Adalind's wedding ring
Adalind told Sean it was a engagement ring

which one is it..a wedding ring or an engagement ring?

It's neither really. No wedding or engagement can be valid if there is any element of coercion involved. Since Conrad essentially coerced Adalind into accepting it by threatening her children the whole thing is null and void.

Now, the question is what magical ties, if any, does it have over her and the children. Conrad's threat could have been just that. If she took it off, he would see to it that her children suffered. The ring itself may be a bluff and nothing more. Dodgy

Or that could be just another one of the red herrings that the show runners and writer's are so notorious for throwing out there. How many times have we seen these pronouncements come to absolutely nothing. Confused

Very likely only other thing could be a way to showcase LBB powers she removes the ring.

I would agree with you, however..then there would be no reason to give Adalind the ring. Conrad could have simply warn Adalind to try harder because her kids are depending on it.....So that's why I think it is more than a ring
Just like Juliette's personality changed as she became a hexenbiest. The ring will cause Adalind to transition into a wife. Because she realizes it is being forced it will be a bitter marriage. They could have the ring completely take over. This lets Adalind and Diana and Sean be a power couple. This could let Adalind and Eve be adversaries without having to be enemies.
A possible fly in the ointment could be Renard offering Kelly to Nick in exchange for a less hostile association. Whether that would actually happen depends on how much leverage and freewill Adalind has to stop it.
