Air Date: March 29, 2013

Synopsis: When a gruesome homicide brings an office party to a screeching halt, Nick (David Giuntoli) and Hank (Russell Hornsby) find themselves battling a Wesen on a completely new platform - online. Meanwhile, Juliette’s (Bitsie Tulloch) mysterious hallucinations finally start to take shape, giving them a whole new meaning. Silas Weir Mitchell, Sasha Roiz, Reggie Lee, Bree Turner and Claire Coffee also star. Guest stars: Chris Murray as Trinket Lipslums, Eric Lange as Dominick Spinner, Camille Chen as Jenna Marshall, Quinn Franzen as Brody Crawford, Beth Thompson as Vicky Edwards, Brian Koch as Ridley Cooper, Jennifer Rowe as Debra Cooper.
I liked this episode. Thought the story was an interesting take on the "Rumpelstiltskein" fable. The Juliette vision thing was kind of sucky, but the episode was good overall.

We found out some interesting things:
Eric was stepping up the game with that attempted assassination in the bar. In the age of terrorism that would have brought a lot of heat.
The royals want to dissolve the European Union. But why? That unaccountable statist, socialist, bureaucratic abortion would be the very thing to use to seize power in all of Europe. All you need do is own a few high level bureaucrats and you own the Continent! Tongue
The captain is a good shot. Big Grin
And they don't trust Meisner. Hmm. Dodgy

One other item. The second victim of the killer in the episode had an online avatar called "Miller's Daughter". Now, it so happens that about 3 weeks before this episode originally aired, Once Upon A Time aired an episode titled "The Miller's Daughter". Coincidence? Or, was it a bit of a thrown gauntlet to OUAT? Tongue
If I had to choose a favourite episode of season 2, it would be "Nameless".

I love the Grimm-writers whenever they use a Grimm fairytale, so I'm pretty easy to convince Big Grin.
They really managed to translate the story of a broken contract, closed in a desperate situation, in a modern-time-story. Really, really great!

The cherry on the top is the name "Fuchsteufelwild" my once-and-for-all favourite Wesen name. It's just fitting perfectly (fuchsteufelswild is an adjective describing someone/something going completely nuts/freaking out/going berserk, translated fox-devil-wild, I guess the origin is a fox suffering of canine madness) and it's a long and difficult word for non-Germans and therefore super-cute when spoken by the actors Heart.

Great episode for Wu, too! His books-and-sudoku knowledge was very useful.

Should I comment this?
Hm Confused
No, I shouldn't. Tongue

The miller's daughter is the one in the fairy tale who had the contract with Rumpelstiltskin.
Very nice coincidence, if it is one Exclamation

For all it's faults, under the EU, Europe has known its longest period of peace since the fall of the Roman Empire.

Thanks for the info Gretel. It's been a long time since I've read the original stories and I had forgotten about the Miller's Daughter. So, maybe it is a coincidence. Kind of hope not. Little rivalry is a good thing. Tongue
Perhaps, it's time I went down to the library and picked up a copy of the original Grimm tales and refreshed my memory.
I also forgot to mention the contribution Wu gets to make in this episode. It was good to see the character really being in the forefront of the investigation for a change. Dang, I love being middle aged and just on the verge of senility! Tongue
No need to go to the library, here is Gretel's delivery service Big Grin
