Because that is what happened people assume Sean knew what he was asking her to do. Based on the show Sean only asked for Adalind to make Hank infatuated with her. That is why Sean sent the guy to make Hank jealous.
This is interesting. So Sean might not be convicted of conspiracy to murder after all then?
Rosalee is the one who said that Hank would die and Adalind knows as much Rosalee about this stuff. . IMO Adalind would have a way to keep Hank alive if Sean had wanted it. Adalind knows Hank works for Renard.
That doesn't mean that Sean would be convicted, especially if his orders to Adalind were not those of murdering Hank.
To give an example, I know of a 14 year old girl who was arrested for "killing" her 12 year old brother even though he tripped and accidentally fell and landed on the knife she'd been holding while they were both washing the dishes. She's currently facing culpable homicide charges.
Sean is much worse than the scenario above because he specifically ordered Adalind to poison Hank, using Hank's own blood in the curse so he, through Adalind would force Nick to give him the key. There's laws against that type of thing. He's not without fault just because Adalind carried out the poisoning. If Hank died, charges would escalate from poisoning to murder, even if Hank's death was never the endgame.
