I don't think he picked to go back, he was struggling to hold onto the stick and got pulled in because he wouldn't let go. He had no idea he was going back to that place or time.

It makes you wonder why he reverted time back to before the point he told her he loved her, doesn't it?
[/quote] If he hadn't, the Wu and Hank would have remained dead. He wanted them all back so he had to go back to before the love you. Considering they are together 20 years later, I say he has plenty of time to tell her those 3 little words. I would have preferred an ending that was not so far in the future. Maybe a 5 years later instead of 20 and a narration from Nick.

I'm willing to give him a pass that he didn't immediately know how to use the stick or what it could do when he first grabbed it. As shown on screen, they seem to have figured it out in the future.

If I recall the stick pulled Nick into the portal after Z dissolved into the ground

I wish G & K hadn’t thrown in so many scenarios regarding the stick, the big bad, Juliette, and Diana and spread the battle over several episodes. The deaths were emotional because they were familiar characters, but the deaths came in such a fast succession it oftentimes felt as though the characters were throwing themselves on the staff just because it was their turn to die.

There's no way it's going to know where to take Nick any more than it knows to take the Z....unless it gets a clue from them where to go.

There is nothing wrong with Adalinds mental Health any sane person would chose Nick over Renard. Renard is a pathetic loser who was born to Royalty with a silver spoon and the best he could manage to be was a failed Mayor elect of Portland. He also couldn't even do that right he had to get Bc to rigg the election in his favour. Renard slept with Adalinds Mother rejected Adalind in season 1 after she had showed him nothing but loyalty and never showed her a shred of respect. He has been terrorist and a gangster as well as the most corrupt cop in Portland, Renard has also murderd or been involved the murder of countless Members of his own family including his cousin and brother. The better question is what sort of nut job woman would chose Renard over Nick unless she was after years of abuse.
