Nick introduced her to Monroe, Rosalee and Bud, who made it possible for her to trust wesen. You claimed Nick did not need to do this. I have tried to explain to you that her prehistory made it very necessary. It's you who has a hard time with this, by claiming that she lied because she could potentially have met wesen she did not know was wesen.
I'm sure Nick looked into everything that was on file about her, considering he arrested her.
Being introduced to Monroe, Rosalee and Bud would not make it possible for Trubel to trust wesen. Those introductions made it possible for Trubel to trust "them". Maybe.
Monroe did nothing to her but woged in self defense and she pulled a machete on him. Nick and Hank were sent to investigate after Trubel left the hotel without paying her bill. Hank identified them as the police, but Trubel tried to attack Nick anyway, then threatened to kill all of them.
We saw she was attacked by the girl in the store after Trubel stole the boots. We know the two guys on the road attacked her. She talked about an attack on her by a foster parent, and a wesen who killed her foster parents.
There was some outrage because I thought Trubel was a liar. I still think she was lying. Partly. She's a young woman who's had a traumatic life, but is also a thief, liar and a killer. I think she would do anything to survive. She had to. She's a homeless person with no outlook.
So Monroe spots her as a Grimm, and she ends up meeting Nick. Nick didn't look into everything concerning Trubel or I'm sure he would have found a lot more than his police records show. So what does he do? He completely ignores the red flags in those records by choosing to sidestep Trubel's past. He informs her she's a Grimm and shows her the accessories and diaries in his trailer. Like that's going to heal this girl and make it all better. I'm not against him telling her she's a Grimm and I applaud him for letting her stay with him and Juliette.
However, Nick's duty should not have ended there. Trubel suffered tremendously and Nick, as a cop, would have ways of helping her. She is an adult, you were correct in pointing that out. But Nick does nothing to help Trubel become a part of society. And while Monroe and Rosalee explain the woge and all its forms to her, what help are they really? So now she knows she's a Grimm and knows about the woge. She's still homeless with no outlook. According to many here, these Grimms were altruistic and would never sell themselves for money. That's exactly what Trubel did. She had no choice.
You say Nick has a moral responsibility as a Grimm. He also had one as a cop, and first and foremost, as a human being. He failed.
I thought this fit better over here since Trubel would have had mental issues that were never addressed in the series.
