I wanted to ask some things that have been bugging me for a while. While I watch Grimm, I'm not versed in many of the details, so please bear with me on this. In one of the episodes prior to Monroe and Rosalie's wedding, Monroe explains to Nick how wesen know he is a Grimm. According to Monroe, Nick's eyes turn black, like an infinite darkness, and wesen see themselves reflected in that darkness. They see their true wesen nature.
While this is all very interesting, it doesn't really explain a whole lot, in my opinion. For one thing, wesen have been around for a very, very long time. In all of that time, they haven't learned a clue about their true nature? And why would seeing their true wesen selves in his eyes suddenly make them see him as something to fear?
I could see them fearing him if Nick was actually able to see their true selves and use that fear against them. But he cannot. It's also interesting to me that this reflection in the eyes does not affect all wesen. Any thoughts?

The best way to frustrate a cyberbully is to ignore him.
