If Nick gets sidelined from the Portland Police Bureau, I'd like to see him go to Europe and cozy up with, and even become a member of, the Resistance. Somehow the story has to connect him with them soon, and here's the opportunity. And for dessert, we'd get to see Meisner again, who has been around since the show's inception, and Ian Harmon. As long as it's my fantasy, maybe even have Farley Kolt turn up to help the cause.
Even though there has traditionally been an opposition between Grimms and the Laufer, or Resistance, the time seems right for them to throw in together to defeat the families. Think Kelly is connected to them now, too. Interestingly, Rosalee's father and brother were members, and she has taken over the responsibility of her deceased brother as liason to the Wesen Council, so there could be a connection between the two groups. Throw in Renard's affiliation with the Resistance and we have a trend toward all these good guys banding together. Nick somehow needs to be prominently in the mix - a sojourn to Europe would provide the catalyst.
Couple of other reasons for this journey would be that Adalind is headed there also (hope they wouldn't book the same flight), and although I am 100% in favor of Nick and Juliette staying together, Nick could meet some beautiful Resistance fighter to share a common cause with; and maybe have his head turned.
