The episodes when Juliette's college roommate Alicia, leaves her abusive husband to stay with Nick and Juliette.I don't think the writers tried to tie all aspects of the wessen world together in every episode. Of course , maybe there was a lot of crossover between species/humans. in Portland. The first wessen killed by the chef was married to a human. The bird who laid the golden egg was married to a different species. The one who threw his wife was of a different spies. There are more examples, no need to cover them all. Maybe the purity group was recently formed and Monroe and Rosalee(and the guy killed before Monroe) were chosen because they were well known offenders and would serve as good warnings to the wessen might want to stray off the purity path.
In the scene when Alice's husband tracks her down and pushes himself into their home and fights it out with all 3. He voged and was not of the same species as Alicia (Fuchsbau). Joe, her husband was a (Klaustreich).
Where were the purity organization Secundum Haturae Order Nam Wesen when these 2 got married? You remember? This was the organization that went after Rosalee and Monroe, after they got married. I think there was one more married Wesen couple of different species but slipped my mind. Maybe I will catch it when I do a 9th re-watch.
Ahh YES. The golden egg episode when they went away and Nick planned to propose. That was the one I was thinking about when I wrote this about Alicia.
Note, according to Rosalee and Monroe, this organization beginnings went as far back as the middle ages. Think about it, selective cross breeding' created many species of cats and dogs. Probably the same reason why so many Wessen species existed until this purity organization put an end the cross breeding's, with the blessing of the council.
IMO, think the whole purity thing was created as an afterthought to justify and push Juliette to go for restoring Nick's Grimm back
You know you are OLD, when you see the Slide Ruler you used in college selling in an ANTIQUE SHOP!!
