What I've been speculating about in my mind today is just what will the hidden whatever turn out to be. JK and DG stated in the interview that if someone knew something about the Crusades and what was in Constantinople at the time, they could probably guess what it is. Now, this could just be another red herring thrown out there. But, let's assume for a moment they're on the up and up.
Now,what interests me is that back in the 4th Century, St. Helena, the mother of Constantine I, was said to have spent several years in the Holy Land, establishing churches at Christian sites (The Church of the Nativity and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher are said to be her work.)
She was also said to have brought back several holy relics to Rome. Now, if Constantine I had moved some of those relics to his new capital city of Constantinople, that could be what we're talking about. Some of them were said to be parts of the True Cross, a part of Jesus's tunic, and pieces of the rope that tied Jesus to the cross.
Guess, we'll find out tonight.
Just hope that after having 5 seasons to think about it the writer's aren't going to give us something totally lame!
