Sound points all. It might also be that Chavez went to Nick's house because it was the scene of the crime and the FBI sent her and her team to investigate the killing of one of its agents. Then Trubel's decapitating him put Chavez on the alert. That, along with the book of wesen drawings she found in Trubel's room.
None of that would preclude her working with Tavitian, or course. It would put her on the side of the Resistance (if he's not the mole) and that's a good thing. But it doesn't square somehow, imo. Sure, it squares with the facts, but not with my fantastical meanderings about what these folks are up to. For the moment, I'm still holding onto the feeling that Chavez is on the opposing team, but my grip is slipping!
It's true that there is the problem of the signed-in-blood (which seems to make it more binding) contract Adalind made with Stefania for the rights to Diana. The fact that Stefania was working with Viktor connects it to the Royals. Perhaps it is known by them that only a special Royal descendant could wield the power of the hidden object; so that both the object and the one who could use it would be necessary to give the them control over the world. Methinks Diana will have something to say about that.
