I don’t think Juliette initially wanted anything other than to proclaim her independence from Nick and their past together. Having rough, animalistic sex with Renard was her way of proclaiming that independence and embracing what she was. That it would hurt Nick and possibly destroy the Nick/Renard alliance was vengefully sweet icing on the cake. Juliette didn’t feel anymore for Renard than he did when using Adalind to his benefit.
Had G & K actually committed to the characters’ storylines, Juliette could have rained down a hail storm on Nick and Adalind, determined to prevent them from having any semblance of the life she believed was ripped from her. As it was, she set fire to the trailer while no one was in it and played with the others without any intention of actually fatally harming anyone. Even in her final confrontation with Nick, Juliette wafted between rage and remorse. Trubel/HW symbolically killed Juliette. Nick, Juliette, and Adalind were hardly more than pawns on HW’s and BC’s chessboard. Not because their storylines weren't important, but because G & K refused to commit and allow the chips to fall where they may.
Don’t know how the topic of Renard immediately morphed into yet another discussion about evil Juliette. Renard was the same character in S6 that he was in S1. Everything he did, every decision he made was calculated based on the best outcome for his ambitions. I have no doubt that he loved Diana, he gave his life protecting her without hesitation. But Renard was never the type to let love get in the way of what he wanted. If he did, he would have gone to Nick and/or Meisner about getting Diana before the ruthless BC organization took her from the safe house. But BC was offering him a political power rise, HW considered him hardly more than an occasionally useful asset. Renard chose the organization that was best for him, not best for everyone.
