A story about someone who dies and lives again. Makes me think about Nick and the stick. (Another one-line poem, entitled "Nick and the Stick", by the same poet who wrote another one-line poem entitled "Yield the Field", those who want to partake of the more uplifting arts, but lead very busy lives). Will it keep Nick alive even if he's killed by the world inside the mirror? Sounds like a redeemer kind of story, with spiritual and religious overtones. Complete with a trinity composed of Diana, the spiritual result of sacrifice, E/J who is nailed to a metaphorical cross, and a rebirth provided by Nick. An ancient archetypal component of humankind's universal consciousness.
Sure shoots a big hole in my other idea - with Diana writing, acting all the parts, and producing the whole story by way of her evil/good magical superabilities.

"The only thing that will redeem mankind is cooperation." Bertrand Russell - printed on a beer mat in "Shaun of The Dead".
