Um....no. There was no excuse for Nick's behavior in this last episode. Renard put him on leave. He blatantly disregarded Renard's orders.

In point of fact, he was on administrative leave, banned from the office until further notice. If you're looking at the military code here, then the more severe rule must be applied, and that is disobeying a superior officer, which is what Nick did. Because Nick disobeyed his superior officer, men died. In the military, he would have been courtmartialed, guaranteed.

I think Nick and Renard are heading for a collision with each other this season, and this time, Nick isn't going to hold back.

Nick and Hank warned Renard to tell the Marshalls, but he blew them off. The deaths of the Marshalls is a direct outcome from Renards arrogance. Renard is devoid of any ethics or morals. He only acts in his self-interest. Renard is a disgrace to PPD. The city needs to run him out on a rail! New Guy

I know you don't give a hill of beans for Renard, but he is Nick's superior and he placed Nick on administrative leave. That doesn't mean Hank can call Nick based on a hunch, have him sneak over without being seen, and then watch Hank throw the guy into a mirror and force him to woge for Nick. If Hank was so all fired up about this guy, why didn't he go to Renard in the first place and tell him about his gut feeling? Because he and Nick chose to act deviously and underhandedly, the whole situation escalated out of hand.

Seems you and I were watching the same show as well. Nick, did just about everything he could to warn the marshal's, but they blew him off. I have cops in my family, and time and again they have said the same thing. The Feds (FBI, ATF, DEA, Marshals, etc.) Are a bunch of arrogant, know it all, jerks!!
