Again, though, is that because she knew he was the only Royal in Portland? Or is it just because she surmised that only he (with her mother's help) could have known to do/how to do that, since Nick was oblivious?
Maybe I just don't want to see the Royals as being "super Wesen" of some kind, but I always got the feeling that they were special more for their long-established and -protected political power than any direct magical powers...except maybe special items of power in the vein of the Coins, that only one of Royal blood could activate or something, but not some innate Wesen-like abilities.
You'd think Grimms could sense it, if that were the case, anyway, and Nick didn't realize anything about Renard until he was told.
