Although she made a sordid agreement to sell her firstborn in exchange for getting her powers back, she didn't go through with it when she actually delivered her child; she fell in love instantly with Diana and tried to keep her with her. She stated last season that she wanted to raise her children in the right way and I believed it was sincere. Imo, although she fears the evil that the hexen condition brings out in her and worries it will dominate her again, she will neverless have to become a Hexenbiest again to protect those around her. We will see if she has the personal fortitude to control her more vengeful impulses and channel that powerful energy in the right direction. (The inner struggle of the bad old Adalind battling with her new and improved self could be made quite humorous in some instances and Clair Coffee seems to have a real talent for comedy.) I have always liked Adalind, so I'll be pulling for her. Since she has alot of past transgressions to make up for, she should get started at balancing the accounts as soon as possible. And her contribution as a good-guy Hexenbiest may be the best way to do it, because all other things being equal, it's still Portland.
That would be such an interesting character arch for her. I've always enjoyed Adalind but she needs to be more than just a mother or a hexenbiest. She needs to develop and get her life together, for her kids and for her self.
Claire had good timing and she often sort of mugged at the camera whenever she delivered the occasional sardonic and edgy joke line in the past. A formerly ferocious, and very impatient (albeit repentant) Hexenbiest trying to wedge herself into polite society while pushing down the urge to kill could be rich comic ground to explore.
