I know some people believe that Nick has various mental issues. I would suggest his mental health is very good. One of the requirements for mental health is an acceptance of reality, even if reality is distasteful, scary, not what you want it to be. He has discovered a new reality, at first wanted to reject it and go back to his old reality, but sorry no can do, as Marie told him. He has had to accept his new condition, learn new the rules of the new game, new norms of behavior. He has tried to keep protecting and serving the innocent and weak as before, to bring the dangerous to old fashioned justice, and if he cant't, bring the others to new fashioned justice. Hank would have died without the illegal intervention of Nick and Monroe. They did not ask for backup, which is usually required. Neither came forward to acknowledge they were involved in the death of the ogre, which was wrong in the old reality, okay in the new. Josh's dad tried to avoid being a Grimm, which means he denied his basic nature. That is not a good sign of mental health. Juliette wanted to return to her old normal, refused to accept her new normal, and went off the deep end, making bad choices which got her killed. Accepting reality doesn't mean she had to act as a bad witch, she could have opted to be a force for good, but she needed to understand she wasn't in Kansas anymore. For what's is worth, i was hoping she would.
