In another thread I mentioned my disdain at the though of Nick going all Alan Alda on us. So I want him to man up, and be relentless in his pursuit.
If he is out for revenge then here is how I think it should unfold. He should use his detective skills to find someone left alive who knows someone involved in the actual murder of his mother. Once he secures a name he should RESIGN from the police force. And then he should take said person and work backwards till he has the names of every single person who participated in his mother's murder. I don't care if has to work on someone or someones for days to get the names - he does it. And then hunts them down and finishes it. I could see him creating a list, it may take him a decade to track them all down, but he commits to doing it. I could see him bagging a few early in the season and then the go into hiding and he keeps working it, whole he gets on with his life. Maybe now and then he leaves town to follow up on a clue and take scalp here and there. But his anger should be at those who directly killed his mother. And eye for an eye, served without mercy and preferably slowly.
