Quote:Leaving weapons behind all together was not an option because Juliette was a weapon in herself that was becoming increasingly violent. She can attack without physically touching them. They have a right to defend themselves as well in case something went wrong. Nick and Hank aren't loose cannons with weapons. They're cops and are expected to be armed. None of them planned on attacking Juliette until they were attacked first. They didn't even lunge at her when she was shaking the shop.
The spice shop show an extreme amount of arrogance on all of their parts. Even leaving up to the spice shop. Juliette confronted Nick several times pointing out the problem of her being a hexenbiest and him being a Grimm. The most important was her informing him how he no longer looks at her the same way. Instead of Nick accepting what she was saying he continued on his path of denial. The position of denial culminated in the scene at the spice shop. When Juliette walked in the door she may have already made up her mind that the meeting was no going to go well. But she started off with pointing out the flaw in their position. The fact that they wanted her to believe that they had come up with a cure instead of it being Adalind doing. The point she was making was did they think she was and idiot. Yet they continued to proceed with their plan. Even after Juliette made it clear she did not need to be fixed.
At that point Juliette did instigate the next response. By toying with the potent I am thinking she knew it would cause them to react. She had showed them she had powers buy suspending the jar. Why not just give it back and walk out. But why did the see a need to try a grab the bottle. She was only suspending it. It was not until Rosale charged after it that she let it hit the ground. Beside why save it if Juliettte was not going to take it what where they going to do with it.
From that point all of Juliette actions where defensive moves. Not once did she go on the offensive.
Rosale charged Juliette throw her. Monroe woged and charged she through him. Hank drew his gun she took it. Nick pulled his gun to shot her she pointed it at Monroe. I never could figure out why Nick and Hank thought drawing their guns was a good idea. They saw she could move and control objects did they not think that would also include controlling their guns.
My biggest complaint was Nick arrogance in his insistence that he know what was best for Juliette. She had told them more then once she was finding value in her condition. You do have to consider it save her life twice. Juliette made it clear what her position was. Why not just accept her like she was learning to accept herself. If not for their disapproval for Juliette being a hexenbiest she would have not had a reason to reject them and make them her enemy.
