Maybe I missed something when I was binge-watching Grimm for the first time...

Was it ever revealed what Meisner was? Kehrseite-Schlich-Kennen? Wesen? Grimm?

But many questions were left without.
His family and girlfriend killed by the royalty.
Why? She was a " GRIMM? Or the family is "GRIMM? Or "Wesen"?.

I agree. And "a non-Wesen that is aware of the Wesen and Grimm world" is a Kehrseite-Schlich-Kennen.

Btw, the first time I heard it, I thought they were saying "Kehrseite-Sichtgänger" (other-side-sight-walker) lol

I don't know why they use the word "Schlich" - maybe from the saying "jemanden auf die Schliche kommen" (don't know if there's a good translation for it, it means to discover a malicious deception from somebody)
