I am thinking we might see Kelly's eyes glow as he calls for one of his toys. There is precedence that abilities would show early. Kelly was conceived during the transfer potion that turned Juliettte into a hexenbiest. Question why no side effects when Eve became Sean.

Just a thought but when a hexenbiest uses the change potion nothing happens, but if a human uses the potion something could happen. Now that it was Eve using the potion now a hexenbiest nothing come of it. We always get back to how Elizabeth had no problems but Juliette did? Why?

Some believe the hat contained the spirit of a hexenbiest if that was the case, they can choose to go into any one they pick. Adalind had to work hard for a spirit of a hexenbiest maybe Juliette did not.

Another way is Juliette heritage made her vulnerable. Maybe some of her relatives are biests and she does not know this because she has been avoiding her family as Eve.

I was also thinking it was the hat that caused Juliette to become a hexenbiest and Nick and Adalind to have a connection. While when Eve changes to Sean there was no side effects. It was never clear where Eve got the hat and book she had in HW. Adalind's hat was last seen at the spice shop. The book was opened at Sean's. How would Eve or HW got Adalind book and hat. Then it was shown Eve has no problem breaking into places. Adalind book did not have the change spell. She had to find her mothers book. That means all books are not the same. So came we assume HW got a whole of an upper level hexenbiest book. Just and exercise in trying to force a theory with no actual evidence.

I pulled up this character thread "Kelly" to put in my two cents about my favorite character, Kelly Burkhardt. Her Grimm Wiki provides a summary:

In particular review her "Grimm Abilities" including "Superhuman Perception." IMO, this goes beyond visual perception including her savvy ability to analyze a situation and revise a plan to avoid disaster. For example when she diverted the extraction flight from Brazil to Portland.
IMO, the original Kelly would not have fallen for Hexenette's betrayal. She would never have brought Diana with her to handle a situation where Nick's life was in danger. If she decided to go to Nick's house (alone) she would have been prepared for an ambush and preformed par excellence her Grimm calling as Dēcapitāre. The scene would be ultra violent ending with the severed heads of Kenneth, the Verrat thugs and Hexenette scattered about. She would have immediately recognized Hexenette as a Wesen, traitor, enemy, aggressor and taken her out without any hesitation.
Her demise was contrived by G&K and does not reflect any of her Grimm abilities. I would 1000 times rather see Nick and Momma Kelly clean out BC, including Renard than have to endure the Wooden Woman.

That is an argument that was being made. We have seen Kelly as being extremely capable. Yet there was not one dead body. Everyone found that hard to believe. Second her not taking precautions. She knew there what problem yet she never considered it might be a trap. How did Kelly know they where not hold a gun to Nick and Juliette's head and making her say the coast is clear. G&K gave Mastrantonio a lousy exit. I always thought the writers where mad because Mastrantonio would not come back to film the exit. But to destroy a character to punish and actor seems counter productive.

MEM leaving seems to have caused a lot more problems than it should have. That was such an awful exit for the character because it's not believable for how she's been presented to us. Kelly being taken completely off-guard without taking anyone out does feel like they had some type of grudge against MEM leaving and decided to try to evoke an emotional reaction without earning it.

I wonder what type of storylines they had planned for Kelly in the future. She would've had to be included because she had Diana. There was also the issue of Elizabeth trying to track her down. I expected to get a meeting between the two at some point. It was one of the things that had me excited about future episodes. Did MEM leaving mess up any plans they had with Elizabeth or were they not planning on her making future appearances anyway?
