As Diana's parents, they have to do everything for their daughter. Adalind is acting appropriately in this. Not surprised that Nick was still hesitant to bring in Renard, trust is a very big issue between the scoobies and Renard.

I was glad they finally if not kicking and screaming brought Sean in..he and Dasha gave them good information
...just got this feeling Renard and the mysterious stick are to close for Sean to ignore it for long
Sean can't help being Sean, I wouldn't put it past him to make a play for the stick but I doubt he'll succeed if the stick is only meant for Grimms to use.

I can't help but wonder if it would work for a royal with blue blood??

She actually made her case to Nick about how influential Sean was.
Royals aren't Grimms. Royals wanting the treasure probably has to do with the dissolved relationship between them. Grimms found an artifact or one was created to be used specifically by them. If Grimms worked under the royals at some stage, I can see the royals feeling the stick should be in their possession the fact that they didn't even know what it could be makes me think they can't wield it either. The show has gone out of its way to show Nick and Trubel as the only two people to physically touch it without suffering any effect and it's because they are Grimms. The S.E.R.T. agent touched it through his gloves and it blasted him to unconsciousness. Royals don't have a better chance of touching it that the wesen or kehrseite thus far.
Adalind may distrust Renard, she may even hate him, but she’s at least smart enough to know Renard didn’t take Diana’s information and sit around with it. He has spent years establishing contacts/assets, and despite his inexplicable re-characterization in S5, he knows how to use them to his benefit.
I noticed Adalind referred to him as Renard when talking to Nick but as Sean when with the others.
While I agree Renard isn’t anymore likely able to wield the stick because he’s a Royal, there’s still a disconnect with Grimms’ being able to use it. The Knights took the stick while ransacking Constanople. I don’t recall any verification that it was designed for Grimms or any specific sect, only that the go-to assumption was that it must have been intended for Nick/Grimms.
