Credit to the ever awesome JellyFish (Irukandji) for the genesis of this thread.

Given the above premises, the question is, what does that form of justice look like and what would the one or many potential story arcs be?
I can think of many, but this one is particularly salient to me.
The series progresses with Sasha getting this wish and Renard turning even darker, crossing the line time and again until Nick finds it necessary to intercede. In the end the only way Nick can see to bring about justice is to testify against Renard and in so doing implicate himself. I would like to see the dichotomy of characters grow even more, with Renard taking more self-centered approach to justice and possibly one portrayed as a bit cowardly (i.e cutting plea deals, or trying to build an empire in prison, hence no real atonement) he just becomes a KingPin behind bars). Nick on the other hand, I would like to see him either take the full brunt of his punishment and serve his time honorably or, taking the high road and committing suicide with the expressed aim of restoring honor to his family name. The former is of particular interest because the closing scenes could show Renard still spinning his webs of machination in prison, while Nick is in Prison maybe teaching reading and math to fellow inmates.
I have other thoughts, and that is just one possible story arc. What are your ideas on how Nick should be brought to justice?

- Grimm has a strong story arc about redemption, Nick as a central figure is very flawed as a police officer. Nick's character should strive for redemption.
- Both Nick and Renard both have killed people. You may argue whether the killings were murder or not, but accept the general premise they are culpable
- Both have covered up crimes and framed others crimes they committed.
- Nick and Renard are police officers who swore an oath to uphold the rule of law.
- Both have knowingly violate their oath and both deserve to be brought to justice for their many crimes.
- This thread is about the main character Nick, as he is the central character of the show. You may include Renard because he is equally culpable if you wish (Hank and Wu too), but this is primarily about the disposition of Nick.
