Yep! I'll rewatch this episode! I liked it! I love Rosalee in this and I seriously thought at the end she was going to take the kids. Because, she's just a sweetheart.

Lost Boys had the answer to the wesen parent non wesen parent. These children had a wesen father who for whatever reason isn't in the family now. Their mother never knew his was wesen, so the first time the children woge mom goes off the rails and leaves.
When they took Rosalee the had no idea what they were getting into. This is a small look at what BC may not know what they are getting into also. This also shows why Nick has made wesen friend to be the leader to take down BC. Monroe shows that some wesen maybe most like things as is, don't want an uprising to change their life. This shows us into what areas BC has it's fingers so they are not all street gangs. They plan or have been raising children as members so we can likely see some BC members (maybe we have already) as being nothing but BC the will fight to the death. I'm think Andrew Dixon is one of these children just betting 1 cent on that. Saving the other 1 cent that Andrew Dixon is head of HW in Portland. We may not see the boys again but we will see the girl either as a friend to Rosalee or a setup to kill Rosalee and trap Nick. You might wonder why I see so much BC in this episode because the is a setup episode for later we will be coming back to this plot line again, I see 2 maybe 3 episodes on this setup. One of them will be Eve, as that isn't the point of the thread I will leave it at that.
Good story, one of the best so far. We have already discussed all of the references to the Peter Pan story and it was clever the way the writers worked in so many of its elements into this episode. Might add that Warden Hook looked like an angry Martin Van Buren when he woged, with the mutton chops beard and all; knew he reminded me of someone the first time I saw the episode.
I thought Nick's new accommodations had all the ambience of a bomb shelter, but these kid's living space was much, much worse. And then later we have the Rat King rodents' root cellar-like digs, which is amazingly even more depressing. We are only at the beginning of the season, what's next, a tar pit maybe. Imo, these surroundings are more metaphorical of where Grimm is at than the advent of Eve. But I have full confidence that Nick and crew will see better days ahead. Don't even try protesting my optimism, fellow travelers; it's stubbornly set in stone. As far as the implication of the story in connection with this season, think it's evident in that scene with Warden Hook, may he have a leg snapped off by a hungry Gelumcaedus. Peter will probably make a good Black Claw recruit and a leader of a unit. He is so angry and has shown a tendency to use violence; think he's killed before. Big John is no Rhodes Scholar, but he's strong and will make a good foot soldier. Sweet Miguel may be persuaded to leave the group if a good adult influences him. It's Lillie that I have the most hope for. She and Rosalee seem to have a genuine connection, even though she is hurt and angry at what she sees as Rosalee's abandonment of her right now. And they are both Fuchsbaus, so she would make a perfect daughter for M and R. Hope it goes something like that. Adalind's associate from her former law firm seemed to have a lot of confidence in her legal capabilities, saying her old boss wanted her back, in fact, he was certain she could ask for and get, more money. She can't be too dumb. Side bar: Nick was the one to point out that the van driven by the abductors of Wendy Hensley in the grocery store parking lot was the same one seen in the video taken by the bank close to the spice shop. He's one smart cop.

I can see the show having Lilly run away to the spice shop. It will add another child to interact with Kelly. It will also back up the family structure the show is building.

Well, for what it's worth. A lot of people in Hulu comment section really dogged this episode but I liked it. The kids were little monstrosities but you still felt for them.
@speakeasy. I actually liked the 'Grimm Lair'. A little paint, some decent drapes and you would have a nice artist's loft that could withstand nuclear armageddon! What's not to like?! I'm still not comfortable with where the writer's seem to be taking the Nick/Adalind relationship. That hexenbitch is NOT to be trusted! If she gets her powers back Nick and his crew had better watch their backs! The conversation between Meisner and Renard was interesting. Even though he was being very circumspect, Meisner actually gave us a lot of intel on what was going on. We found out Viktor betrayed the king because of how he treated him, etc.. But there is a question about that. Did Viktor go to Meisner personally, did he go to the Laufer, or did he go to HW? IMO we will see Lily again. She may flee to Rosalee for protection. Or she may set up Rosalee and Monroe to be taken by BC. Could go either way. Monroe should write a book: "The Blutbad Guide to Parenting." Be a best seller!

Yes, that would be a good thing and also possibly save Monroe and Rosalee from being negatively sanctioned by the Weserein or Wesen Council or just the Wesen community for having children of mixed heritage; seems intolerance never completely goes away. Which makes me wonder just what, if any, punishment Adalind may have coming her way for having Kelly. However, it may be a moot question if this uprising leads to full departure from the Wesen traditional form of governance and is replaced by an autocratic or tyrannical system. But, like jsgrimm45 said, that isn't the point of this thread. (01-16-2016, 01:33 PM)wfmyers1207 Wrote: Well, for what it's worth. Well then, imo, the people posting on Hulu wouldn't know a good episode if it hit them in their ukeleles. It was easy to feel for those kids, they were parentless children exploited by the system - because if they weren't they would have been happy in foster care. Nick probably failed to see the humor in how quickly his top secret, off the grid living quarters were discovered by Meisner and Trubel, tho', haha. Blast those tracker cell phones and Global Positioning Systems! Probably be an element of constant conflict w/Nick if she get her powers back, but I think she must; they have too many enemies.
