….and another goodbye
Gang,
I just thought I too would say my goodbyes to the forum. However in my case it has nothing to do with the forum or the people posting here. It is far more simplistic. I simply don’t care for the television show Grimm anymore. This forum is about the only interest I have in the show and that is just ass backwards. There truly are some special and wonderful people who post here. The camaraderie has been amazing.
I liked the original premise of the series, but the whole wesen uprising .the keys, the black forest, Eve, Meisner etc just does not interest me. For me Grim was always about the premise, the writers interpretation of the creature of the week and the cast of characters were at once, interesting, quirky and fun. The premise and storyline made up for what the series lacked: quality lead actors. I simply do not think David Giuntoli even makes the cut as a B grade actor and Bitsie Tulloch is bar none the worst actress I have ever seen, when you measure the ability she has manifested on screen against the amount of screen time she gets(note the qualifier) The acting on Grimm has always been carried by what amounts to the skill of the character actors of the series and the skill of Shasha Roiz , clearly the greatest breadth of talent on the show , who now reduced to a minor role( for additional information on the actors of Grimm please see my: Rate the actors thread).
The series really lost me when they brought Bitsie Tulloch back. About the only thing I liked about season 5 was her absence. Simply put, I do not think she can act, she is painful to watch on the screen and any storage used to preserve her digital footprint is waste of media. But at least we know for sure how she has managed to maintain her job. Combine that with what I think is poor writing, lack of character development, and an asinine plot line and it becomes clear I have better things to do with my time.
It is rather a shame to watch show for so long and to drop it unresolved, but at this point I really could not care less. Besides there are these real cool things called books, I think I’ll spend more time with them.
Anyways, I’ll probably check in now and again out of morbid curiosity and to check for PMs from the cyber buddies I have made here. Who knows, my attitude may change.
Live large my friends.
