So, eric, is this your opinion? Or these occurrences really happened? Lately, it is becoming very confusing on what’s facts and what’s BS. Like someone, on another thread, trying to pass off the definition of cuckold as someone raising a stepchild. You can’t make this crap up!

Maybe if the thread originator had seen what you and me saw, they would not have started this thread?
Okay, I'm willing to try to ID the episodes: Monroe to Dad--Season III, Episode 13-Revelation; Best Man--not sure of the episode, but it's the one where Nick learns Grimm's have bad black eyes; Monroe's uncle-I believe during Map of The Seven Knights, when the uncle was trying to sell the 20 books; Monroe planning the rescue of zombie Nick, season III, episode 1 or 2. I hope my understanding of those episodes is not BS or making crap up. I have watched the entire show at least 5 times, excluding Season 6, which I haven't ordered yet. If you missed those episodes I would suggest you watch/rewatch them, I grew up on a farm and really hate crap, I had to shovel mountains of BS.

Probably not, he attended a few himself.

I don't think Monroe regrets what he's done with Nick. He believed it was the right thing to do.

TY eric, but I was just being sarcastic. To me, the fact that he picked Nick to be the best man says it all to this threads question.

For the most part, men don't pick on friends they have regrets for, to be their best man.

With all of this talk about wesen hiding under the radar because of the big bad grimms and those primal humans, I was thinking about Monroe. There's no question in my mind here that Monroe had reverted back to some of his wesen instincts.

Suppose Monroe started hunting down and eating humans once again. How would that impact the scoobies?

Luckily there weren’t many posts to read through, because I don’t remember seeing this thread before.

I don’t see Monroe reverting to Wesen instinct as much as him utilizing innate abilities to fight and defend himself in the same way Nick, or any of the characters, would. Monroe wasn’t compelled by his Blutbad instinct to kill the men responsible for his uncle’s death anymore than Nick was compelled by his Grimm instinct to kill Kenneth. Both men were compelled by rage and revenge, and used their innate skills to their advantage.

Looking back at Monroe’s character evolution over the six seasons, I don’t get the impression that Monroe chose to re-embrace his Blutbad instincts in order to work with/help Nick. Monroe appeared to realize he didn’t need to remain a recluse to keep his primal instincts in check. In the ‘Over My Dead Body’ episode, Monroe briefly hooking up with an old flame spurred him to temporarily enjoy old habits. And it was the prospect of a relationship with Rosalee that compelled him to permanently lock away those bad habits.

Although I don’t think Nick was detrimental to Monroe’s ‘sobriety’, I don’t think he was Monroe’s salvation either. Monroe met Rosalee while helping Nick, but it’s not an absolute certainty they wouldn’t have met otherwise, or that Monroe wouldn’t have met someone else and been equally happy. It would be like saying Adalind would have never crossed paths with Nick had she not helped Renard. There’s numerous reasons their paths might cross anyway, that could have negative or positive results.

It's clear to me that Monroe would have no regrets because he hasn't exactly slid back into his former life as you said. He usually uses his abilities mostly to help out and in self-defense. The only time he purposely let his instincts overcome him was for that brief period of time with Angelina while Rosalee was out of town. The old Monroe was long gone by the time the series started.

Monroe pretty much gave a summary of his mindset at the beginning of season 4. He told Nick not to worry about he and Rosalee delaying their honeymoon in order to help get his Grimm back. Monroe told him that because he felt like his life had greatly improved since he met Nick, which included meeting Rosalee. They probably would've crossed paths once Rosalee took over the Spice Shop but we already saw the way it went down.

Monroe simply doesn't see Nick as a negative and considers him to be a huge positive in his life. He hasn't been greatly bothered by Nick since the first handful of episodes when he asked Nick how he got his new number. Any problems between them have been minor grievances or resolved by the end of the episode and even that hasn't been much of an issue since early in season 1. The only substantial problems between them I can think of was when Nick wanted him to give up Angelina and when he decided to work with the Bauerschwein but the former happened in early season 1 and the latter was in season 4 but those were both taken care of by the end of the episode.

Hi Iruk,
Were any non-scoobies invited to Monroe's birthday party? If not then did everyone that was invited attend?
There were even more individuals invited to the Wedding. Did everyone that was invited attend? Were they mostly wesen? Did they welcome Trubel when she showed up?
What is the issue or idea that attendees at these events would affect if Monroe has any regrets about sliding back into the wesen world?

Wasn't Monroe's birthday a getaway for the gang? What was Rosalee supposed to do, rent out an entire floor?
