Quote:For the most part true but look at the delete scene in season 5 of a tender and caring exchange between Adalind and Nick. We on the forum were posting about the lack of such things when it had happened. On the trip to Germany and the box posts were that Nick didn't trust Adalind, than out of the box we learn he had.Scenes are deleted due to time constraints, and as the in the case with S5 Nick/Adalind, to change the direction of the story. G&K stated that the Nick/Adalind relationship wasn’t going in the direction they wanted and set about changing it’s course.
When asked about the Nick/Adalind kiss in Eve of Destruction, G&K said - ‘We’re going to leave them alone for now’ - yet, a deleted scene from Reptile Dysfunction shows they had originally planned for Nick/Adalind to behave like a happy, cozy couple in the next episode.
In the original script, Eve was to confront Nick and Adalind that his commitment to family was undermining his obligation to HW. That was rewritten as Eve threatening Adalind if she hurt Nick. There’s a stark difference in the underlying motivation of those two scenes.
