I was in on the conversation fairly early in this Forum's history; and believe me, something about it has changed for the worse. Most of us are aware of the general rules for civilized discourse - seems they've now been replaced with a confrontational attitude that is troubling. Ugly language is the first descent into the disintegration of tolerance for the opinions of others.
Maybe a sort of litmus test would be helpful for us to run through before clicking the 'post' box. I suggest:
1) Is my post angry or insulting to the opinions of others?
2) Does it keep strictly to the content and characters on Grimm?
3) Will it prompt lively responses or provoke discord?
4) Are my posts aimed primarily at one target as if I'm on a campaign to rid the world of this perceived evil?
That last item is a personal one for me. I, for one, am weary of the constant drum beat of antagonism against Bitsie Tulloch's character of Juliette/Eve in particular, and her acting abilities in general. Some of us happen to like her and her interpretation of her character very much, but to defend her is like pouring blood in the water; it always starts the sharks circling. That's my particular criticism, but the very same can be said of certain other specific topics about the show's message, imo.
Trying to say it's not as much fun around here as in days gone by.
