Probably not. When you hear there's a tiger loose on your street, the normal reaction is either to hide or lock and load, you don't ask if they are just pussycats or give them a treat. Hiding their real nature probably saved a lot of wessen. If Bud were to woge in any of the bars I used to hang out in, he would be hung up out front-probably with a lot of holes in him.

It would take centuries before we even saw a noticeable amount of tolerance. I think the series did a good job of showing how most humans would react. They would either run screaming, be scared shook, or immediately draw their weapon in the case of law enforcement. Anyone carrying would have a 50/50 chance of running or opening fire and that would result in human collateral damage since I doubt even marksman would be as focused as they normally are if they saw a woge.

After the dust had settled, I think there would be hunts all over the world for wesen. I suspect that Grimms won't be seen in such a negative light. Plenty of nations would want to get their hands on them to attack and assist them in taking care of Wesen.

I'm not quite as pessimistic as you. I think a healthy chunk of people would be able to adapt, but there's no denying a few folks would behave like hysterical assholes, especially in Trump's America.

I think it would just be a very shallow, one-note approach to have EVERYONE flip out the moment Wesen were exposed to the world. Let's give humanity some credit here, guys. We might have produced Adolf Hitler and Ed Gein, but we've also produced Martin Luther King Jr. and William Shakespeare.

Good question.

Maybe there would be a bunch of suicide clusters, just like the radio show War of the Worlds - is that the name of it way back before even my time? The fear of hostile and unpredictable (unknown) creatures - it might be like that...one minute we're looking at a human, and then they woge and scare the crap outta you. I'd probably have my final fatal heart attack - unless it was like an Eisbiber like Bud or something.

As for this series, the Wesen world is written as a non-friendly place. They preyed on Wesen and Humans alike. Even is a small percentage of the Wesen community was evil, given human prejudice trends, the perception would go towards them all or at least 99%. Humans would go to war to eradicate them.

Just imagine if WW2 was fought not just against the Axis powers, but if the Allies knew it was the start of a Wesen Global takeover? Just try to imagine the repercussions.
