Somewhere where no one would suspect. Nick should have been smart enough to know that.
This is something I hadn't thought of and you are absolutely right. This says it all right there about Nick. If he had valued the heirlooms to the extent that they should have been valued, no one would have known where they were. Big, big mistake on his part.

Hi Iruk,
I am replying to the above part of your post #16. Nick told Juliette about the trailer because he trusted her. She was living with him, claimed to love him and wanted to marry him "someday." Nick made several blunders with Juliette. First, he should have taken Aunt Marie's advice and broken up with Juliette. Then the cat scratch memory loss and "affair" with Renard should have been goodbye. When she turned hexen and her hatred started to show he needed to send her away and make it nearly impossible for her to find him or the trailer. Yes huge blunders.
Hi New Guy-
I don't agree that Nick should have broken his relationship with Juliette just because Marie said so. All Marie gave was some vague warning. Anyone who'd destroy their relationship over that is crazy.
However, four years later, when things weren't good between then, Nick should have paid attention to the red flags. He choose not to and for a cop, that's a major blunder.
There have been numerous posts about how Juliette destroyed irreplaceable antiquities and should be put to death for doing so. But putting that aside for a moment, I want to focus on Nick. He never placed a high value on the heirlooms. He proved that revealing the location of the trailer and by not removing the heirlooms so that the antiquities were separate from the trailer. That was another huge blunder. An earlier post pointed out the not all of the heirlooms were from Nick's family. Some of them were from Josh's family. By failing to properly protect them, Nick violated Josh's trust in him as well.
In my opinion, the loss of the trailer was Nick's fault more than Juliette's.
The best way to frustrate a cyberbully is to ignore him.
