Before I get to my question, let me shed a little light for those that aren't aware: Shaw and Tim Steinkellner are brothers, hence why they have the same last name. For those that are doubtful, I can assure that this is true having read a short tweet conversation between a couple of fans and the actual writers of Grimm. Someone had asked if Shaw and Time were related, to which the writers replied with 'yes', and then explained that they were originally cousins, but writers later changed them to brothers. Sadly though, for time reasons, they never got a chance to explain it on screen.
Now here's where my confusion comes in.
Shaw is part of the Secundum Naturae Ordinem Wesen. As such, he is against mixed species relationships.
Tim, his brother, who is a klaustreich, is married to seltenvogel. He is in a mixed species marriage.
Now, I know he did not marry her out of love, and their marriage was full of abuse, but I still wonder how he was able to manage the wedding without his brother finding out. However, if Shaw knew about the marriage, why didn't he say anything to the group? I mean, even if he knew Tim married Robin only for selfish needs, I would have thought Shaw would still oppose the wedding since it is mixed.
My second thought was that perhaps Tim agreed to share the golden unbezahlbar with Shaw, but if i remember correctly, Tim was already planning on splitting the fortune with his sheriff cousin or something.
So i'm kinda confused on that.
Anyone else wanna shed a little light on that?
