Quote:Victor: Do you remember how the Grimm took your powers away?
Adalind: Yes
Victor: It's time to return the favor. You have the blood of the Grimm in you. That makes him vulnerable.
So yes, I think you're right.
We never heared that the Grimm-powers are something that can be given or taken away, but who knows what comes to the writers mind next.
And then again: what exactly are Grimm powers? The only thing I'm sure of is Grimms can see Wesen for what they are. When he can't recognize them anymore, how does it help Victor? Can he really believe a no-more-Grimm-Nick comes crawling to him, begging him to get his powers back and send his mother with Diana to her doom in return?

I watched S3E19 again and found this:

Agreed. That is what I was thinking of when I heard that. Something to do with his blood, but also we have to favor in his zombie like powers now. Which they still haven't explained how that is effecting him either.

Oh, she'll TRY, but will she be able? She hasn't shown herself to be the most competent sorceress in the coven.

Ha, so true. In the entire series she has pretty much been the worst wicked witch since the Wizard of Oz.

I don't think she is pure evil. Remember she is doing this for her child. Put yourself in her shoes. She just lost her baby and she thinks she is doing this to get her child back. I actually like how her character has changed towards the good side like the Captain did.
I figured she would just (try to) kill Nick, but it makes more sense that she might go for taking his powers away. So far, a lot of Adalind's most dangerous spells have been (initially) non-lethal. A depowered Nick would also mean bringing Trubel into the show was a good move.

It seems there are gaps in her magical education. I wonder how much contact she has had with the larger hexenbeast/zauberbeast community? What Frau Pesch told her seemed entirely new. I'm guessing that her mother was her sole instructor, and there may be things that her mother never bothered to teach her--perhaps for fear that she might become a rival (she seemed like that kind of 'mater devorans').
(I'm guessing also that the Captain's mother didn't teach him anything--he doesn't seem to know anything about potion making or spells. Perhaps it is a cultural thing? Perhaps zauberbiesten don't do that sort of thing?)

This thought occurred to me as well. Perhaps males are not taught how to do spells, or perhaps they can't do spells. They may have only an innate type of power and no more.
