Nick had even been chased by military police, with a "shoot to kill" order, without them knowing Nick was working undercover (of course, he was not, it was just Renard who misused police resources trying to kill Nick).

You don't get it.There are no details provided to the public on what Nick and company did as part of their investigation, other than bringing a killer to justice. Nick (as Renard) actually for once had the good sense not to go into what amounts to a pack of lies and make himself into a hero. Doing so would have opened up a lot of questions that have no answers. It was safer to leave Nick as the fugitive on the run, being investigated by IA. All the publicity stunt had to do was explain why he was a fugitive, hence the working undercover angle. Even Renard kept a low profile and remained discreetly in his office when Nick and company came strutting in. Nick was welcomed back with accompanying hoots and whistles.

There are never any "details" given about any police investigation, much less an undercover one, until and unless that investigation leads to a trial or other conclusion. And Nick as "Renard" cited the case as still being an ongoing investigation. By having "Renard" publicly praise his officers for their "exemplary" undercover work, Nick boxed the real Renard into a corner. He had no choice but to run with the fiction, stay out of the way as his officers were welcomed back to the precinct with cheers, whistles and slaps on their backs and then come out with a fake smile to call them into his office for the non-presentation of medals.

There have to be enough details given in order to make your argument that the precinct viewed Nick as a hero. Aside from that, as I have been so often reminded, this is a fantasy show. Police procedures do not apply.

After reading this revamped post by some (cough) kumquats (a group of small fruit-bearing trees in the flowering plant family Rutaceae).

All these attempts to detract from the show's lack of reality to discount the main character is sort of futile.  Why should cleaning up the said war zone should be any different?

There is a constant drive for some of these, said kumquats, for their inability to accept the fact, that Nick, the Grimm was the main focal character of the series.  No matter how much they try to, blah, blah, blah, the series main character was Nick, the GRIMM!  That is not an opinion but the FACT.

The much bigger point of this posting about this whole Grimm verse fantasy is by skewing off the main tread, to again, detract from the main character is another attempt, for some of these kumquats lack of a life, to whine about the inaccuracies of a TV fantasy show, which ended over 4 years ago, is sort of, ridiculous.  Let me save you some cash for some of these k.......... on some needed therapeutic counseling.  Time get a life and move on.
