I am not sure how he would have reported it, if he had told family and friends she was dead where was the body and the weapon, a female "friend" who had lived in the home killed her, and some mysterious sort of government agency no one had ever heard of had stolen the body, he would probably be suspect #1 in the mass murder.
In the matter of Juliette's "death" and Eve's "birth", I understand "you're dead but you don't have to be", to mean her old life as Juliette was over, but she could become a new person as Eve. This is similar to the idea of being reborn in religion, giving up your old sinful life and even taking to a new name to show the change. X was not Malcolm's official birth name, but once he converted his name AND behavior changed Sort of went through that myself, then I reverted.
eric, besdes all that, if he did report something, who would be first looked at as a suspect on the neighbors murders? That is the absurdity of asking why Nick didn't do what a partner does when the other dies. What part of the relationship was left for him to follow up, even if there was a body? Again, you have to ask, what were they watching?
You know you are OLD, when you see the Slide Ruler you used in college selling in an ANTIQUE SHOP!!
