Hey New Guy-
I was wondering, how did you come upon your faith? Was it through your parents or did you seek it on your own?
My faith comes from both parental guidance and personal seeking. Mom and Dad met at a religious college. Mom became a teacher and Dad became a pastor. Dad was exempt from the draft but volunteered to be with the soldiers in WW II. He survived Omaha Beach on D-Day, was wounded twice and was awarded the Silver Star. Mom was an artist and taught reading. After the war they adopted a German family to help them recover. They were both practitioners of tough love before the phrase was popular. They both could walk the walk.
I was a problem kid, but grew out of it. I did some stupid things. I nearly drowned once, but somehow made it to shore. The Lord was there and without his presence I would have died 50 years ago. From that experience I know my Redeemer lives.
I am active in our church and participate in worship, study and mission projects. We Christians are not perfect, but our faith helps us lift each other.
Peace,
N G

Yes. However, they must confess and repent from sin, including sorcery, to attain heaven.

So, continuing this stream of thought, help me understand what it means to:
"repent"
Please give a specific example as it would apply to a wesen. Say Monroe or Adalind or Juliette/Eve (or whomever).
And in like fashion is Nick, a Grimm different? If not, what would repentance in his specific case look like?
Please bear in mind I am trying to "see" what it would look like under an established religion or at least in keeping with religious tradition.
The Google definition of repent is:
Quote:feel or express sincere regret or remorse about one's wrongdoing or sin.I lack the time to pull the transcripts, so I'll reply from memory:
Monroe, seemed to regret some of his old Blutbad ways and expressed that repentance to the Iron Hans campers.
Adalind seemed to honestly regret the evil deeds she perpetrated against Nick. I believe she told him her regret and asked for his forgiveness. IMO, she repented.
Juliette/Eve knew in detail what grief Nick suffered for her vile acts. As Eve she remembered what she (Juliette) did but never confessed or showed any regret. IMO she never repented and likely felt justified for the vile acts she committed.
However, IMO Renard was the most vile of all the characters. He was one step away from hell and perhaps that is why Jack (the Ripper) chose him. IMO he was proud of his crimes and would never repent.
