Hello Forum,
Back on 12-04-2015 I started a thread:
http://grimmforum.com/forum/Thread-The-Engagement-Ring
Post #7 lists episodes where the ring shows up.
The hypothetical question on this thread is [what if] "Juliette said yes to Nick's proposal. Everything remains the same and eventually she becomes a hexenbiest. Would Nick have ended the engagement because he no longer trusted her as a hexenbiest?"
So in 4.14, "Bad Luck" the ring would already be on her finger. The actual scene recaps as:
[quote]At home, Juliette gets out the engagement ring from Nick's drawer and puts it on. Her hand then woges, and she quickly takes the ring off.
IMO, the ring is a sign of love and her hexen hand signifies her hatred. Removing the ring indicates she rejected love and embraced hatred. She may have kept the ring in hope that she could gouge out his eyes with it.
Nick however remained in love. Doofus Nick also trusted her and failed to warn his Mother, change all his communication passwords and install proper surveillance gear. His love prevented him from killing Hexenette even though she was a powerful, deadly maniac bent on destroying Nick and anyone he cared for.
