Remember Elizabeth said to beat a hexenbiest like Adalind you need a hexenbiest like me. We all thought she was talking about Nick losing his Grimm. How about if it was as simple as taking a Nick's powers makes Adalind a threat. Remember up to this point Sean keep Adalind from doing anything to Nick. If Sean had his mother change the potion, when Juliette came to Sean's door he would need to act surprised. Think about it. When confronted with the news, he is not even willing to look for his mother. Any other problem Sean has always gone to Rosalee, this time he doesn't even mention Rosalee. Instead Sean sends Juliette to Henrietta who helps her understand her powers and eliminates all hope of a solution. A solution that Adalind had no problem of coming up with. Are we to believe that Adalind knows more the Henretta.
I don't think Sean or Elizabeth deliberately turned Juliette into a hexenbiest.
First, why didn't Sean go to Rosalee? She was on her honeymoon. The script I was reading said Nick brought a police escort for Monroe and Rosalee. I assume Sean knew about it. Being the captain, he probably approved it.
I wondered why Elizabeth would tell Nick and Juliette there would be side effects, but wouldn't say anything to Monroe and Rosalee. It turns out Rosalee was aware there might be side effects. She told Trubel this when explaining what happened to Juliette.
Also, Elizabeth took the same potion Juliette did and transformed into Adalind. It seems she felt the side effects, if any, would be minimal. Otherwise, she would have made some excuse not to take the potion.
Adalind seems concerned that her hexenbiest will be unpredictable once it returns. All of the women took the potions from the same hat. It's possible that Elizabeth left so quickly and hasn't returned because perhaps her hexenbiest went out of control.
Although I have to admit, I like Elizabeth. If that happened I hope she found something to settle the hexenbiest and helped Eve back to life.
