I deny the idea of my ability to perceive 'writers intent". This is a pure educated guess, on my part. I see no other reasons for the the purpose of this episode, main arc. IMO, it was to place the whole gang in danger by being killed off by a pissed-off Wesen because Nick was responsible for getting his father incarcerated.
Besides the Diane arc and placing the whole gang in danger. They get to kill two more birds with one stone. They get to torture the "Nadalind" fans while getting the "Nickolette" fans pantie's wet. This is pure speculation of a parting shot to a, soon to end, TV Series. ROFLMAO.
After better deduction with names and lines to connect on a piece of paper. A better recap, is a possible scenario of who drank who's hair?
1) Red, Hank drank Wu's hair.
2) Purple, then Hank drank his own hair to overwrite Wu.
3) Blue, Wu drank Adalind's hair overwritten by Holly
4) Light Green, Monroe drank Evette's hair. .
5) Pinkish, Nick drank Rosalee's hair.
6) Turquoise, Evette drank Nick's hair.
7) Orange, Adalind drank Monro's hair.
--- Rosalee was drink free.
It could be a possible scenario. Maybe the red and blue can be flipped, same results. What I find real disgusting about the whole scenario is what you completely overlooked. That bastard spit in all the glasses. YUK!
Oh you know... if it’s strong enough to make Monroe tell his pregnant wife that he’s very sorry but he’s in love with someone else now, it’s got to be very strong indeed. We remember that the man stood in front of a tribunal of racist bastards and proclaimed “I love my wife, and I always will. That’s what real purity is.” shortly before they planned to torture him to death? (Tribunal)
And I agree, I think that everyone is perfectly aware of their memories at the time. But they are guided by feelings that aren’t theirs. So while Evette is talking about her past with Nick, there is absolutely no telling how she currently feels about the man, because the spell’s at work.
Well I don’t know what the writers planned either. But in my experience there are two main reasons for writing episodes like that - one is comic relief to make up for darkness that’s before and/or after the episode in question. (Because if you keep writing tense episodes all the time it will get tiresome.) And another is allowing the actors to just have fun together for a change. The episode seems to be among the more popular of the season as far as I can tell. So I’d say the fans enjoyed seeing the actors have fun, too?
And as a Monrosalee fan I’d like to point out that it’s pure catering to Monrosalee, because it offers both the good (they’re disgustingly cute) and the bad (just look at her face when he tells her that he needs to stop living a lie!) and then brings it back to where it belongs fairly quickly. (It takes her a little longer than strictly necessary, but obviously if Monroe starts talking about ending things with her he MUST be under a spell.) --- Also, I loved the Diana arc. Grossante really shouldn’t abduct and scare little girls.
Ah yes, that might work, too.
And oh, I didn’t overlook that at all. I simply didn’t comment on it. It’s a Cupid spit and hair mixed with a 2005 Brut. And it seems they like it. Maybe Randy’s spit is particularly yummy.
