This is an interesting question because it brings up the dynamics of the scoobies. I don't think I've ever read any threads that dealt with the group in general.
Hank and Wu both are single with no prospects. Renard, while not a Scooby, is an important part of the series and he also has no girlfriend/wife. It's my thought that for any of these men to have a partner would significantly impact Nick's activities. Hank can't be at Nick's beck and call to meet about a wesen if he's dealing with a wife and/or children and neither can Wu. While Renard is more independent of Nick, he also can't be dealing with wife and/or child because that detracts from Adalind and indirectly detracts from Nick.
The only ones who made the grade were Monroe and Rosalee as the married couple in the series. But that only occurred because Nick needs both of them to help with his cases. In my mind, this also goes a long way in explaining the hatred of either Juliette or Adalind. There are no other women in the group would could compete with the two.
Do you think it is easier to hate unmarried woman with a history not living with their parents than men is the same situation and with the same history?
You bet your bottom dollar it is, Mary. Look at how many times Hank has been married. To coin a phrase here, he's probably whored around a lot more than that. But Juliette slept with two men on two different occasions...........and that woman is branded. A third woman in the mix might have alleviated all of that because it takes the focus from Adalind and Juliette.
Good question. I hope this turns into a meaningful discussion.
