I hadn't seen anything about this movie interesting. Wonder if they took this from Grimm?

Hard to say. The movies IMDb page doesn't show any crossovers among the writers or producers. But they still could have gotten the idea from the show.

The legend of Krampus goes back to the Middle Ages. So Grimm's show runners and writers can hardly claim the movie stole the idea from them. Smile

RE: Krampus - Belle - 11-28-2015

Krampus actually makes me think of the Venture Brothers Christmas special first, not the Grimm version, which does seem a little like the version portrayed in the trailers for the new movie.

It also calls to mind the episode of American Dad that included a Krampus, which was another comedic take on the old legend.

If you've never seen the Venture Brothers version of Krampus, you owe it to yourself to check it out. Their version of the legend is hilarious.

I read that "Krampus" is a legend Alpine-not contained in tales of the Brothers Grimm - Although early stories were not children .the Wolf it ate at the little red
nor were invented .the Brothers Grimm collected all the legends and tales that he had in Europe
