Very Grimm fairy tale ambiance. But it's location would sure be a plus.

Just curious.

In the first couple of seasons there was much talk on the forum about the gorgeous houses that the Grimm characters lived in, the exteriors were a joy and the insides with the ceilings and thick, ornate old moldings were to die for. Even the public buildings, like the PBB are beautiful. The old-world look to so much of the architecture and that big old woodsy area makes for a real fairy-tale feel to the Portland of Grimm. Plus, there is a sort of individualistic quirkiness to the place that I adore.

The mailman's cottage is one of several structures that were flooded in the early 20th century when the Bull Run Hydroelectric Project was built. It was exposed again in 2007 when Bull Run was decommissioned and the dam demolished. The inside of it is most likely a rotted mess, and the interior scenes filmed somewhere else.
The abandoned Bull Run power plant is nearby, and is the place the eisbibers call "the lodge." Most of Grimm is filmed in the central area of the city within 5 miles or so of the Willamette River, which cuts through the city. Further out to the east and west, Portland becomes more like the suburban areas of any other city in the West. And a lot more affordable. The exterior of the "South Precinct" building is a vacant former US Customs bldg. The lobby and main staircase from the lobby were seen in some early episodes. The corridors and the offices are sets built in a warehouse in the NW, as are the interiors of the spice shop, the fome, Monroe's house and Nick and Juliette's house.

Likely Nick will have to move again only way I could see him not finding a new place would be if all that knew about the fome were killed in the S5E22.
Once they close out the series than the last episode could show Nick's family including LBB moving into a normal home maybe in an area where Eisbibers live as a protected area. They know and like Nick and would be a good family area, and who would look for a Grimm in a Eisbiber neighborhood?

IF they move out, a quiet rural setting might be best. I can see them staying, it has proved to be very defensible, no nosey neighbors, just a few upgrades and minor repairs are needed, good parking. A rural area would give the kids a place to roam and to exercise their powers, hard to bother the neighbors with screaming/fires/explosions, and the kids have a place to ride their unicorns(why not?). I have sold swampland(no joke), so I bet I could sale them some good locations.
