And boy, is my face going to be red if I completely mistook that scene when I thought I saw Monroe take 3 keys out of the lock, but I never learn; to paraphrase: respond in haste, retract at leisure. Missed the bit about testing Meisner, too. You're not the one with the red face.
Missed the meaning in your comment about Renard. Please elaborate, thanks.
I watched the scenes again. There was a scene I missed first time round where Monroe puts two more keys down still in the cloth at 40:18. I was off doing something else and not paying attention. Hangs head in shame. Apologies to you and thanks for others not biting my head off.
Renard's Nick's boss. To arrange for time off, Renard would have to approve Nick's request. Nick may tell Renard what he thinks he's found.
In light of my belated realisation that Nick does have 5 keys and does only need two more, I don't think that would be a test for Meisner to see how much he knows.
Whilst I believe Nick is testing Meisner (and Trubel for that matter) the Keys aren't part of the test.
No longer sure what the Royals hold. I am convinced they lead somewhere. Those the royals killed to gtake the keys must have been convinced their's lead to the treasure when combined with the others. There are only two keys left to find.
