Light of current occasion and because it fits well with the series, I thought we could here all the fabulous holidays that come to gather as. Something like Halloween.I think there a definitely a lot.
So I started with Walpurgisnacht
The Legend says hat in Germany on the 30rd of April the witches flews to a mountain called Brocken. At this place they dance with the devil ( of course nacked haha) and have sexual relationships with him. They dances all the night into the morning of the 1st May. This "party" is called sabbat of the witches(ger. Hexensabbat). You can visit there a place called Hexentanzplatz(Danceplace of the witches).

Academically based the day of the holly Walburga. She was a missionary and leader of a convent in Heidenheim. The funny thing is Heidenheim means pagan hood.
Today in Germany we celebrate on the first day of May the Maifeiertag. In some areas the people stand up a huge Maypole. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maypole
The modern witches adapt this tradtion to her holiday called Beltane. This day is also on the 30rd April and celebrat the wedding of the great goddess and the green god. The Maypole stands for the male symbol of the god.
