"All The Time" by Diamond Rings. (Just found out that Diamond Rings exists and I've been listening to both his albums -snerk- all the time.)

Being an old fart, I'm into classic rock. ZZ Top, The Who, etc.. Sounds like a lot of you younger folks might like to be here in Cincinnati this weekend. The Bunbury Music Festival kicks off this very evening.

Happened to be downtown earlier. They're shooting a film here in Cincinnati about Miles Davis. You jazz fans don't need any explanation. Chatted with a couple of the crew. One reason I love living in Over-The-Rhine. This beautiful historic neighborhood draws the film industry. Sorta like living in Portland.
A bit sad in one sense though. Cincinnati has the largest historic district still extant in the USA. (Happy about that.) But it makes you wonder what was torn down and lost forever in places like New York, Philidelphia and Boston. Dang, I wish they would film an episode of Grimm here! It would be a perfect fit. This town has such a strong German heritage. Nick and crew have to chase down a wesen who has fled back to his/her family home here in Cincy. Works for me.

Here's my favorite male singer. Released posthumously and shot to #1 on the pop charts in 1968, (dating myself.) He was about 26, plane crash. Wonder if anyone remembers and still listens to his music, to me it's timeless. I'm kinda lost in the 60s, 70s and 80s, musically. View coming at you from more a vintage perspective. Here's my other favorite male singer. This video doesn't do the Maestro justice because of the poor sound quality. There's a much clearer version onYouTube but I couldn't get it to post on here for some reason.

I actually referenced it on facebook a few years back in the caption for a picture I took of my sister sitting on a dock. I'm pretty sure I have it from the Top Gun soundtrack, but I don't think I ever bothered to look up any of his other stuff.

I have indoctrinated my son into becoming a fan (he has always had a band, sings and writes music, and performs locally, but it's not his profession), but not many folks remember Otis. He made a lot of music in his short career; check out his versions of Satisfaction and Respect - they're better than the Stones' and Arthea's versions, imo!

Ha, just walked down to the convience store and they were shooting a night time car chase scene on Main Street. I love it!! The film is titled "Miles Ahead" and Ewan McGregor has a starring role. Damn, I don't need no stinking Comic-Con, I got Hollywood right here!!

Never knew that Cincinnati has the largest historical district, that would be interesting to explore. And I agree, it's always a thrill to see movies/tvs production filming locally. I couldn't believe it when I saw Grimm filming a couple minutes away from me. Here's one of my favorite songs from the 60's: |
