The kitchen and bathroom are obviously old, so whoever put them in did it a long time ago. And probably without permits. Happens a lot here.
Most likely scenario is an under-the-table rental, with enough money passing hands to buy indifference about what the space is actually being used for.

That kittchen is not old. The layout is not indicative of the fixtures being used. Having just completed a retro remodel I recgnize the fixture as imataions an not period originals.

You didn't really expect the set builders to go out and hunt for actual antique fixtures, did you? Or think that Nick actually designed a retro kitchen, went shopping at Restoration Hardware for all the parts and then distressed all the wood and paint?
Now you're just being silly.

Actually when something is meant to reflect a certain period. The design reflexs the style and the components are aged to look old.

And you think Nick took the time to do this, or hired a contractor to put in a kitchen and bathroom and said, "make them look old?"
Seriously, it's a TV set that looks like an old loft. Everything that looks remotely old is meant to be old.

Maybe they meant there would be no back and forth between the three, it doesn't mean there's no triangle.

I think the plot point of Eve spending all that time in the tunnel has nothing to do with her housing resources. It's that after bringing her back from the edge of death the stick is messing with her head like it is with Nick's.
Now I'm wondering, between Nick and Eve, which of them will be Frodo and which will be Gollum. |
