OK we see Juliette at Seans house saying she needs a place to stay. When see Adalind in the car telling Sean they need to work together. I know it won't happen but that sure looks like a setup for a real jealousy cat fight with Seans house as ground zero. This time Adalind wanting to through Juliette out.
Have Adalind an Juliette facing off in the living room, in complete woge. Sean has to woge and step in to keep these two women from tearing up his house.
Embrace your inner Biest..... We all have one

It has been to watch him over the course of the series. I was a little lukewarm about his acting when the show started, but he has improved by leaps and bounds.

Yup. In any kind of relationship, especially one at a crucial crossroads moment like this, communication is EVERYTHING. (Not that I've actually had a chance to watch the scene for myself...every time I try to open the video, all I get is a black screen and a creepy Siri-like voice informing me "This content is currently unavailable.")

It's very much the kind of conversation two people who should have been, oh I don't know, talking to each other instead of just skirting any issues would have. Sort of a misunderstand thing leading to personal hurt. That has been the sort of "doh!" thing with the Nick and Juliette relationship. I mean, I get it the first season...her boyfriend is acting sort of weird and she doesn't know what to make of it. Then, in the second season, he retreats when she forgets about him (which, on one hand, isn't to unbelievable, but still a dumb choice in the situation). Finally, in this season, we get Juliette acting like a freaking NUT CASE all of a sudden, plus some very strange things happening around her, like a fierce assassin mysteriously "missing" and we can tell Nick knows something is not up, but never seems to think asking, "Look, something is going on here and you have to level with me" might be a good idea. I do like these two characters, but I really want to bang their heads against each other sometimes. End of rant.

If characters always behaved sensibly, where would the drama be?

(In regards to the protagonists, anyway...sometimes a story needs the occasional moron, a-hole, or straight-up psychopath to interfere with the hero's journey for the sake of conflict.) One reason why a lot of horror movies annoy the hell out of me is because their plots tend to rely on their heroes behaving like complete nitwits. There are ways of putting your leads in dramatic situations without having to alienate them from the audience. When a character behaves erratically just so the writer can move the story in the direction he/she wants it go...well, that's when the show loses me. |
